Hello. I am a retired middle school science teacher, working part-time as an educator-performer at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This means they are paying me to spend three days a week playing with kids and science. Can’t get any better than that! I have been married for forty years to the love of my life. We raised two incredible sons, and now have three amazing grandchildren to spoil rotten.
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri and lived in Arlington, Virginia before moving to Denver where I attended High School and eventually college at Colorado State University, graduating with a degree in Zoology and a teacher certification. My wife and I currently live near Denver in the small town of Parker.
My science fiction series, The Brin Archives is an epic adventure encompassing an entire galaxy, and several generations of the same family, through thousands of years of time traveling. At first, their efforts are simply to save their own civilization from extinction, but they soon realize the entire galaxy is embroiled in an interstellar war and on the brink of obliteration. It is up to them to prevent total destruction of hundreds of worlds. This trilogy, to my amazement and delight, has won critical acclaim and numerous awards. Who would have ever guessed this old, retired science teacher would become a successfully published author? I hope you enjoy my stories.
In this conclusion to The Brin Archives, Maliche Rocker must risk everything including his family’s reputation and even his life, to uncover the truth about the Skae. For over three hundred years the Brin have believed the Skae to be their benefactors, and the race that rescued them from extinction. But recent revelations by a group of young Kolbri, the offspring of Brin and Kolandi mating, tell a disturbingly different story.Three Kolbri, including Maliche’s son Jontar, must use their unique abilities to telepathically connect with technology, and discover the truth about the Skae once and for all by undertaking a perilous journey through thousands of years in space and time, unravelling the history hidden from them by Skae. During this expedition, Jontar and his two companions must encounter the Gorvin, hated enemy of the Skae and supposed instigators of the current interstellar war. What turned the Skae and Gorvin into mortal enemies? What is the true cause of the war responsible for the destruction of hundreds of worlds over thousands of years? Will Maliche and his small group find the truth and avert disaster both at home and across the galaxy? Can his wife, Ryma, hold the Brin government together long enough for Maliche to succeed? Only time will tell.

Great teachers use every resource available to help their students learn. Mr. Cowolski is a great science teacher. His students love the stories he tells of distant worlds and powerful beings who created the universe. Blessed with an active imagination, Mr. Cowolski’s dreams provide him with many of his tales. Each story gives wonderful meaning and insight into his lessons, help to simplify complex scientific concepts, and keep his students entertained and excited to learn. Who would have guessed the stories would nearly cost him his life? The aliens are not happy with him.
Time travel is not for the timid.Time travel is not for the faint of heart. Join our two intrepid travelers as they embark on a journey into the past, to the days of the dinosaurs. Marvel at the sights, sounds and incredible creatures of the Cretaceous Period, and learn a bit of actual science along the way. But be wary. You never know how your actions might affect the future for us all.In this, my second short story of a series, I hope to create a set of tales which are not only entertaining, but are a window into learning some real science. My goal is to help alleviate the drudgery of so many textbooks through the art of story-telling and have fun, while learning at the same time.
Justin Madrid always considered himself an average nerdy freshman in high school, and an outcast because intense migraines prevent him from playing video games or watching television. Even looking at a phone screen hurts. But when the aliens, disguised as local librarians, started trying to kill him, everything changed. And now it is up to Justin and his cool new power to save the earth from invasion.
